My journey started after I completed my BA in Psychology and International relations, in the mean time I was Au pairing and really enjoyed taking care of children. I decided to teach abroad and moved to Hong Kong and taught English for a year. It was the most magical year and I traveled a bit around Asia to Singapore and Vietnam, which has become one of my favorite countries. Once my one year contract was up, I traveled to South America and taught English in Peru and crossed something off my bucket list and did a five day trek up to Machu Picchu. Traveling gives you a sense of humility, patience and inner strength. I live for the incredible adventures venturing over seas gives you, and the beautiful friendships you build. Take this exciting step and study abroad in countries like New Zealand and Canada and not only invest in yourself, but have an adventure while doing it.

It all started for me when I flew to Australia for the first time at just 9 years old, that is when I knew travelling had stolen my heart. I am currently studying Travel and Tourism and this is exactly where I want to be. I have also explored the breathtaking islands of Mauritius and the heartwarming culture it has to offer. To each and every one out there if you are given the precious opportunity to travel GO DO IT! Stamp your passport, pack your bags and go see the world!

My love for travel grew when I visited the United Kingdom and then studied Travel and Tourism. I received my diploma. I spend most of my Decembers swimming in the beautiful sea of Mozambique and soaking up the Southern Sun.
I have a passion for countries and their cultures. I hope to visit as many countries around the world (mainly the ones in Europe). I think working for OVC will open more doors for me in the travel industry and lead me to experiencing the wanderlust life.

My journey with the OVC has taken me from one adventure to the next! Fresh home from my gap years in the United States I began consulting in the early days of 2004! I’ve watched the OVC grow from strength to strength, and to proudly say we are the leaders in SA youth travel! I’m currently the franchise owner of OVC Durban North, East Rand, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Pretoria. We have fantastic crew members countrywide, eager to help young travellers reach their dreams of exploring the world just as we have had the opportunity to!

My passion, travels and knowledge of the United States culture have put me in the role of managing OVC American programs: Au Pair USA, Student Work USA, USA Hospitality Internships and Camp America. I personally handle each and every applicant that partakes in these programs. My role ensures all our young travellers are well taken care of when on their American adventure!
My Gap year afforded me the opportunity to live in the United States for 2 years as an Aupair and to travel extensively throughout the USA. My travels have taken me through to the UK and Ireland, Africa, Middle East and one of my favourite areas, the Far East! Travelling allows you to experience new cultures, new people, new adventures and make lifetime memories.
To all those inspired to travel, to find new adventures and to discover themselves, I encourage you all to take the steps I have. You will never regret your decision to venture out of South Africa!

I have been part of the OVC family since January 2006. I started as a consultant and slowly worked my way up to Branch Manager and in May 2007 became Franchise owner of the then OVC Melville. January 2016 will see a new chapter in my life with the opening of our new store in Potchefstroom as OVC North West. I can truly say that OVC is the No. 1 Youth travel company in South Africa.

I have had the privilege to travel to several countries and my favourite destinations thus far have to be Chiang Mai in Thailand, New York in the States, Barcelona in Spain and then Madagascar, an amazing Island destination. Being the Program Manager of the Teach Abroad programs, I have had the opportunity to visit Thailand numerous times and love to share my absolute passion for this amazing country.

I have a passion for Travel and believe that my experience in the Youth Travel Industry will help any young wannabe traveller in making the right decision on which program he/she would like to partake in.

Please feel free to contact us and set-up an appointment to discuss your next adventure.
